The Animation Base Camp is a unique event for animation graduates, and emerging animation talent, designed to enable the transition from study to employment.

The 8-week workshop from Monday 11th July to Friday 2nd September 2016 will be hosted and supervised by Once Were Farmers in Glasgow with weekly critiques provided remotely by mentors from Sony Pictures Animation. ("Hotel Transylvania," "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs," and the upcoming "Smurfs: The Lost Village") www.SonyPicturesAnimation.com

Working in teams within an Industry-based framework, participants (from Scotland, Republic of Ireland and Norway) will be provided with industry mentors and given specific roles in animated feature pre-production for the 8-week period. The outcome of the workshop will be the production of high quality animatic sequences, accompanied by corresponding character and environment artwork. By reflecting the structure of the industry, the workshop will help participants develop creative, technical and production management skills.

Applications for Animation Base Camp 2016 are now closed.
